 Pakistan is a South Asian country while Israel is a west Asian county. The relation between Pakistan- Israel is not formal diplomatic relation. Still, Pakistan does not recognize the sovereignty of Israel as independent state. 

After the UAE recognized the sovereignty of Israel (peace agreement between the United Arab Emarat and State of Israel on 16 September 2022), Pakistan is being internally and externally forced to recognize the state of Israel. 

Pakistan –Israel Relations: 

After the independence Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Founder of Pakistan) had been received a telegram from David-Ben Gurion (Funder of Israel) for diplomatic ties between these two states just after the independence of Israel (in 1948).

Jinnah did not accept that initiative from Israel. 

In 1952 Muhammad Zafarullah Khan (first foreign minister) had been formulated the foreign policy that clearly reflected the support of Pakistan towards Arab countries. 

During Soviet-Afghanistan War (1979-1989), the USA, UK, Pakistan and Israel’s intelligence agencies (CIA, MI6, ISI and Mossad) formed an operation cyclone in Afghanistan to fight against soviet invasion. 

In 1981, Inter Service Intelligence discovered the Plane of Israel that would destroy the Kuhat Nuclear facility with the support of India. 

Pakistan and Israel relation is not pleasant. The leaders from both the states met many times on the third platform like in UN session or in London. Even the people of Pakistan cannot travel to Israel by Pakistani Passport as there is statement like that 

Reason for not Acceptance of Israel: 

Pakistan does not accept the sovereignty of Israel due to Arab-Israel Conflict. The root cause of this conflict is the support of Palestine by Arab League members. The Israel-Palestine conflict is an ongoing conflict in which Jerusalem is a disputed territory (both Israel and Palestine claimed Jerusalem as their capital). Israel has forcibly occupied Palestine.  

 Quaid-e-Azam had a stand that we would not accept the Israel until an independent Palestine state is established with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital. 

Another reason is that Pakistan’s Foreign policy has been structured that wherever Muslims are oppressed in the world, Pakistan will always strive for the rights of the Muslim. 

We always stand with Palestine and celebrates International Day of Solidarity with Palestine on 29 November. 

External Pressure from USA and other countries: 

Israel is supported by powerful states like USA. In 2020 there was back-to-back peace agreement of Israel with United Arab Emarat, Bahrin, Sudan and Morocco for normalizing of relation between the states. 

The USA’s President (Trump) had visited the Saudia Arabia to convinced them for peace agreement. 

The Former PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan is facing Pressure from USA for normalizing the relation with Israel, but this will not possible unless there is a just settlement, which satisfy Palestine. 

Why Israel is so powerful? 

The population of Israel is almost 9 million that is recognized by almost 100 state and support by superpower state of America. Israel has no nuclear power plant, but it is power and forcibly occupied the territory of Palestine because of their advancement in science and technology. 

Should Pakistan recognize Israel or not? 

If we withdraw from our stand to protect the right of Muslims all over the world and recognize the Israel that will be against the Morality. The recognization of Israel by Arab countries like UAE and others, left the Muslims of Palestine helpless. 

If we accept Israel and ignore its operation in Palestine, our stand and struggle for protection and independence of Muslims in Kashmir will be hollow. 

Conclusion:  

If we accept Israel now, it will be a forced decision. There is no doubt that one day we will have to accept the Israel as independent state. Therefore, while accepting Israel, we should make some conditions regarding the freedom and protection of the Palestine.
